                                                                                                                                                      Mike Canzoneri

CEO and co-founder - When Mike co-founded Cecropia Solutions in February of 2010, his vision was to create a company that provided best in class custom software development services with an organizational culture that would attract and retain the best talent available. His 30 year career in the software industry has been spent working in key roles that include being a pioneer of Quality Assurance automation engineering to building near shore technology centers. Mike’s experience at Commonwealth Edison, John Alden Life Insurance, BMC Software, NetIQ, Sterling Commerce and Laison Technologies prepared him for building, from the ground up, the Costa Rican development operations for Growth Acceleration Partners. When not in the office or visiting with clients, Mike will be found deep in the rainforest of Costa Rica donating his time to forest and animal habitat restoration projects. His formal education credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Loyola University in Chicago.                                                                                                                                                                            

Juan Jose (JJ) Sanchez 

Account Manager and co-founder -  As one of the original co-founders of Cecropia Solutions in 2010 his software architect and Scrum Master skills were invaluable in building the technical team and in aligning our development organizations capabilities to our initial client’s business requirements. This expertize was acquired over an 11 year period of working as a software developer and lead architect for companies like Western Union, Avantica, and GAP. His current responsibilities include being a front line management contact for clients to ensure the services they receive are delivering high value and exceeding their expectations. JJ was a Professor of Computer Science in the Business Management School at Universidad de Costa Rica and returns periodically as a guest speaker on evolving trends in technology. Every Thursday night, you’ll find JJ at the company football (soccer) game where he can still keep up with the younger crowd. His formal education credentials includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Costa Rica, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Costa Rica.                                                                                                                                                                                  

Mitch Landry

president and co-founder - Leading the U.S. operations, Mitch's time is split between contract management and nurturing strategic partnerships. He has a long history in business operations for large geographically dispersed (i.e. global) development organizations. Working the entire value chain of enterprise software delivery his roles have included engineering development, pre-sales consulting, sales and program executive leadership. At BMC Software he held technology leadership positions requiring him to manage product portfolio changes including acquisition and divestiture strategies. Prior to working in the software industry he worked as a data architect, application developer and project manager for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas, Pearle Vision, UNISYS and CSC. His formal education credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Texas State University. In between the time spent commuting on the ferry across Puget Sound and visiting clients you will find Mitch planning his next “business” trip to visit the teams in Costa Rica.                                                                                                                                

Maribel Venegas 

director of Administration and Finance - Maribel is responsible for Cecropia Solutions Finance and Human Resource operations. Her career has been spent helping international companies like Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Coopesa establish their initial presence in the Central American market. Applying the skills acquired from jump-starting previous international operations, Maribel has managed the growth of Cecropia from our first employee to the most recent additions of our team. She currently serves on the Board of the Civic Association for the City of Canton where her focus is the promotion of community programs that enhance education, healthy lifestyles and sustainable development. If she is not in the office or at a Board Meeting, Maribel will be found leading hikers up the mountain at our local national park where she is also active member of the Board of the La Carpintera Preservation Society. Her formal education credentials include a Master of Business Administration in Finance and International Trade from Universidad de Costa Rica.                                                                                

Rodolfo Umaña

Development Director - Rodolfo is the Director of Engineering for Cecropia’s development operations and is focused on best practices for all phases of the software development life cycle. His most recent experience was CIO of ACORDE where he led automation projects for CRM, BPMS, ERP, Business Intelligence, and the implementation of High Availability and contingency data center planning using Cloud Computing Services. Prior to ARCODE he served as a Project Management consultant for HP on the Gillette-Proctor & Gamble integration utilizing his extensive knowledge of SAP modules for Cost Accounting and Profitability Analysis. In addition to having CIO Certification credentials from Carnegie Mellon University, he also holds certifications for SAP FI CO, ITIL, and PMP. Rodolfo’s formal education credentials include a Master Degree in Computer Sciences from Universidad de Costa Rica, a Bachelors of Systems Engineering from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, and a Bachelors of Business Administration from Universidad de Costa Rica. When not in the office, you can find Rodolfo deeply immersed in a best-selling book or debating with friends on what is the next best technology gadget he has to get his hands on.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Roy Ortiz

Project Manager, Cartago (and Cecropia's first employee) - Roy is Cecropia Solutions employee number one. When he joined the three cofounders of Cecropia as our first employee, his credentials included Agile Scrum Master and Ruby on Rails-Rock Star. Serving in every capacity from hands on development to Project Manager, Roy has been involved in most projects the company has delivered in the past 4 years. He earned his previous experience as a developer and Scrum Master working for Tecnologica Virtual and Growth Acceleration Partners. As one of Cecropia Solutions frequent visitors to client’s sites, he has a well-earned reputation of dropping into complex environments, making a thorough assessment of the requirements and delivering the right plan for a successful delivery engagement. Even though Roy’s first passion is soccer, outside of the office you will find him wherever there is a TV on with a Green Bay Packers game. In addition to his Scrum Master certifications, his formal education credentials include a Bachelor of Computer Science from Universidad de Costa Rica.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Hline
